Peter Brett Associates are an established multidisciplinary consultancy with over 600 staff worldwide in offices across the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia. PBA International is a fully owned subsidiary and has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1998 under the name of PBA International Prague, spol. s r.o.

Transport planning and highway/road design

Metropole Zlicin shopping centre - traffic connection - PBAI were appointed to produce the building permit design of a collector road, connection slip road and a service road connecting an existing car park and new proposed parking house on the Metropole phase III project. Additional design services included the calculation of generated traffic, parking demand and organizing traffic counts.

Metropole Zlicin - junction modelling - PBAI were appointed to carry out capacity calculations and modelling of signalized junctions and a roundabout using advanced traffic modelling software. A trip generation model and macroscopic modelling results were used as input data for detailed modelling. The prepared report served as supporting documentation for the planning permit application.

Čakovice - transport assessment - PBAI were appointed to carry out a transport assessment of a commercial building in Čakovice including traffic generation, parking assessment, traffic assignment, junction and roundabout capacity modelling, public transport, pedestrian's and cyclist's accessibility and delivery assessment.
(2007, studio PHA s.r.o.)
City logistics - This is a research and development project which is financed by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. The work on this project includes background research, examination of city logistics best practise, communication with local authorities, applying gained information and proposing a theoretical model in a particular city.

Polus Centre Constanta - This project involved the optimization of the traffic layout for a shopping centre in Constanta, Romania. The project included the following: transport, accessibility, traffic circulation, parking and delivery assessment.
(2007, TriGranit)
Busteni, Romania - PBAI were appointed to carry out a quick and practical traffic assessment of a mixed use development (shopping centre and residential building) in Busteni, Romania. This also included the horizontal and vertical alignment of site roads, entries/exits design, ground level and underground car park design and layout.
(2007, PZP Architectura)
Sungwoo Hitech factory, phase III - PBAI were appointed to prepare the building permit documentation, tender documentation and documentation for construction of a car park and a service road including design of paved areas and coordination of public utilities.
(2007, Tebodin CZ)
Penny market Podbořany - This project involved the design of paved areas, service roads and a bus stop for the shopping centre Penny market. PBAI were involved through all stages of the project documentation.
(2007-2008, APS Praha
Městys Štoky - II/348 road reconstruction - PBAI were appointed to prepare the project documentation of a through highway in the town Štoky. This also included the coordination of utilities and other project structures. This project consists of a roundabout design and modifications to the town centre.
(2007- ongoing, Vysočina district)
Metropolis Bratislava - This project involved transport planning including traffic generation, capacity calculations, traffic modelling and concept road design. PBAI were also responsible for providing support to the architects and concept master planning.

OmniTRANS - PBA International Prague s.r.o. is a sole distributor of OmniTRANS the transport planning and modelling software. OmniTRANS comprises of the following packs: the data manager, the static traffic assignment pack, the dynamic traffic assignment pack, the public transit assignment pack, the demand modelling pack and the matrix estimation pack.
